Miami, August 26, 2026 – LIFETIME premieres “Love, Again” on Saturday, September 5, a film that tells an intimate and deeply human story about love, memory, and the challenges faced by a couple after more than 30 years of marriage, when Alzheimer’s disease enters their lives.
“Love, Again” is a feature film that is part of the Lifetime Movies franchise and stars Valerie Bertinelli (One Day at a Time), Henry Czerny (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning), and Eric McCormack (Will & Grace), who bring to life the characters in a story that invites Lifetime audiences to reflect on life, love, loss, hope, and the possibility of finding comfort again.
After 35 years of marriage, Caroline Stanford (Valerie Bertinelli) and her husband Henry (Henry Czerny) face the greatest challenge of their lives when he is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Henry, a 60-year-old judge, had begun experiencing memory problems but chose to hide them and stopped attending his regular medical appointments without telling Caroline.
At first, the changes are small. Henry forgets names, mixes up words, or fails to pay the bills. But over time, he goes from being slightly forgetful to swimming in the backyard pool wearing only socks and underwear. As the disease progresses, he also begins experiencing behavioral changes and episodes of aggression, symptoms associated with Alzheimer’s that further transform the couple’s relationship.
As Henry’s condition deteriorates and his memories gradually disappear, Caroline must face a painful transformation: caring for the man she has shared most of her life with while also confronting the uncertainty of gradually losing the relationship they built together.
Caring for Henry takes a significant physical and emotional toll on Caroline. As she tries to hold on to her marriage and continue living her own life, she must also adapt to a new reality shaped by the disease, changes in her husband’s personality, and the responsibility of becoming his primary caregiver.
However, in the midst of this difficult process, Caroline finds unexpected support in Dr. Leo Marford (Eric McCormack), the head of anesthesiology at the hospital where she volunteers in the gift shop. He is a widower who understands firsthand the challenges of caring for someone with a serious illness, having supported his wife until her death from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
This shared experience brings Caroline and Leo closer, and a connection begins to develop between them that deepens over time. However, for Caroline, this relationship also awakens conflicting emotions, as she remains deeply in love with Henry and must confront the emotional complexity of opening herself up to love again while supporting her husband as his illness progresses.
Directed by David I. Strasser and written by Nancey Silvers, “Love, Again” is a story about how love can change over time and how, even in the midst of loss and pain, new forms of connection, hope, and companionship can emerge. Through Caroline’s character, the film also explores the reality of those who take on the role of caregivers and the emotional impact of supporting a loved one through a neurodegenerative disease.
To mark World Alzheimer’s Day, “Love, Again” will air again on Lifetime on Monday, September 21, helping raise awareness of the disease and the reality faced by millions of families and caregivers around the world.

Valerie Bertinelli
Valerie Bertinelli was born on April 23, 1960, in Wilmington, Delaware, United States. She began acting at a young age and rose to fame at 15 thanks to her role as Barbara Cooper on the hit sitcom One Day at a Time, which aired on CBS from 1975 to 1984. For her work on the series, she received two Golden Globe Awards for Best Supporting Actress.
Over the following decades, Bertinelli built an extensive career in television, film, and television productions. Her credits include the miniseries I’ll Take Manhattan and the series Touched by an Angel and Hot in Cleveland, where she played Melanie Moretti from 2010 to 2015. In recognition of her career, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012.
In addition to acting, Bertinelli became a well-known television personality associated with food and lifestyle programming. She hosted Food Network shows such as Valerie’s Home Cooking and Kids Baking Championship, and received two Daytime Emmy Awards for her work as a host. She is also the author of cookbooks and memoirs.
In 2024, she joined The Drew Barrymore Show as a member of the Drew Crew, expanding her television presence beyond acting. In 2026, she has also developed new projects connected to her personal and professional journey.
Henry Czerny
Henry Czerny is a Canadian film, television, and theater actor, born on February 8, 1959, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He trained at the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal, graduating in 1982, after also studying at York University. Following his training, he built a notable theater career in Canada, performing at venues including Ottawa’s National Arts Centre, Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre, and the Stratford Festival.
Czerny began establishing his film and television career during the 1980s and 1990s. Among his early notable roles was The Boys of St. Vincent (1992), followed by appearances in films such as Clear and Present Danger (1994), The Ice Storm (1997), The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005), The Pink Panther (2006), and Fido (2006).
One of his best-known characters is Eugene Kittridge, director of the International Monetary Fund in the Mission: Impossible franchise. Czerny first played the character in the original 1996 film and reprised the role decades later in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (2023) and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (2025), alongside Tom Cruise.
On television, one of his most memorable roles is Conrad Grayson in the ABC series Revenge. He has also appeared in productions such as Supergirl, Schitt’s Creek, and Ready or Not, as well as numerous other films and television series.
In recent years, Czerny has continued to alternate between film and television. His recent credits include Scream VI (2023), Our Little Secret (2024), and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (2025).
Eric McCormack
Eric McCormack was born on April 18, 1963, in Toronto, Canada. He trained as an actor at the Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto and later spent five seasons at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, where he performed in acclaimed classical productions including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Henry V, and The Three Sisters.
His television and film career began in the 1980s, with early credits including productions such as Lonesome Dove: The Series. However, he achieved international recognition for his portrayal of Will Truman, the lawyer at the center of the hit NBC comedy Will & Grace, which originally aired from 1998 to 2006 and later returned from 2017 to 2020.
For his performance as Will Truman, McCormack received six Golden Globe nominations and four Emmy nominations, winning the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in 2001.
In addition to Will & Grace, he has starred in series such as Perception, in which he played neuroscientist Daniel Pierce, and Travelers, in which he portrayed Grant MacLaren. He has also appeared in productions including The Andromeda Strain, Slasher, The Other Black Girl, and Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue.
McCormack has also built a distinguished theater career. After several seasons at Canada’s Stratford Festival, he made his Broadway debut in 2001 as Professor Harold Hill in The Music Man. Over the years, he has occasionally returned to the stage in various productions. In 2010, he was inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame, an honor recognizing the contributions of Canadians to the arts and culture.
